Enjoy a Day at Our Farm

A visit to our farm offers something for everyone!

Farm Fun School Tours Seasonal Events

Farm Fun

It's not just educational, a visit to the farm is always fun. We feature seasonal events such as our Fall Harvest Festival to celebrate a bountiful season. Kids love our corn maze and pick-your-own pumpkin patch.

You can pick your own top quality produce, starting in June with lucious strawberries and a wide variety of vegetables. July and August is the time to pick flowers, blueberries, and blackberries. In September and October, pick your own raspberries and pumpkins for that savory autumn delight.

Enjoy the animals in our petting zoo, including Walter the Donkey, throughout the season.

Birthday Parties

Our farm is also the perfect place to celebrate your child's birthday. We specialize in fun when it comes to birthday parties. Children can milk-a-cow, take a hayride, enjoy our barnyard petting zoo, visit our greenhouse, enjoy a picnic lunch and even pick their own seasonal fruits and vegetables. Our dates can fill up quickly, so give us a call and reserve a spot today!

Be A-mazed!

We've taken eight acres of field corn and cut the rows into a winding maze of twists and turns. The eight-foot high corn stalk alleys zig-zag through the field, with lots of dead ends and even a room to rest.

The corn maze will be open throughout the months of September and October, during raspberry and pumpkin season. Kids can try the maze as many times as they like for a nominal fee. Moms and Dads are welcome to wander the maze at no charge as long as they stay with their children - because parents sometimes get lost.

School Tours on the Farm

Your school can appear on this page too! Just send us pictures from your visit to Kelder's Farm and we'll feature your school picture here on our website.
Since we are also interested in passing on our agricultural heritage to our children, we host educational (and FUN) school tours throughout the school year. Kids can milk a cow and learn about the operation of a dairy and produce farm. Take a hay ride and enjoy the great outdoors, nature's own classroom.
Extend Learning with a Visit to Nature's Classroom

School tours offered Sept-Oct and April-June.

Our farm is a wonderful place for your students to see the wonders of nature. Our school tours are educational and fun, extending the school curriculum with hands-on activities. We provide students with a well-rounded look at a dairy farm, fruit and vegetable farm and greenhouse (during the spring months). We try to tailor each tour so that activities are age appropriate and relate to recent topics of study in school. A day on the farm is fun for children of all ages, even chaperones and teachers!

The perfect pumpkin!
A visit to our farm is a great way to begin or end the school year, as tours can be scheduled during the fall months of September and October or during the spring months of April through June. Activities vary with the season.

During the fall, children can milk-a-cow, take a hayride, make their way through our corn maze, enjoy a picnic lunch on the lawns and pick their own pumpkins or raspberries.

During the spring, children can milk-a-cow, take a hayride, enjoy our barnyard petting zoo, visit our greenhouse, enjoy a picnic lunch and even pick their own strawberries during the month of June.

Students go home with produce, educational materials and a whole lot of great memories. We hope they leave with a better understanding of dairy farming and agriculture too.

Our dates tend to fill up quickly, so give us a call and reserve a spot today! Our teacher resource page has classroom activities and resources related to farming, produce and agriculture.
